About Me:
I decided to conceptualize “unicorn” to clearly define who I am and what I firmly believe in; a mission statement that represents the guiding principles that I try to stay true to. A unicorn symbolizes goddess energy, an intrinsic force that is bold, vulnerable, and unapologetic. This energy is personified by a multi-dimensional woman who allows herself to live a carefree, self-defined life. A being who bears an intangible and audacious compulsion to kick down the doors of imposed ideas. Lastly, a woman who personifies a fearless spirit embarking on a lifelong journey of self-acceptance and empowerment.
Writing has proven fruitful for me in my later adult years, unlocking untapped creative potential that had been somewhat dormant. Through therapy and self-reflection, I realized that I feel my best when my cup is fully quenched. For me, this is tunneling into the top tier of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs: self-actualization. This tier is realizing a person’s inner potential, self-fulfillment, personal growth, and purpose. I appreciate the beauty and diversity of life, and it’s a remarkable experience to illustrate my self-expression through storytelling and visuals. There is beauty in the human experience, and I hope that with my blog, we can find common ground, spark conversations, and provoke deep introspection. Come along for the journey!
